What in the world????? I have no idea what she was thinking.....maybe her colors just needed a bath or something. She was washing them in the dog's water bowl and then putting them in their food bowl. Silly girl! She was having a blast though. Those crayons were so slimy and nasty....ugh! Did you notice that the only ones she took out were the orange and blue ones....I think she is a Gator baby.

crazy antics

we're getting ready
We're almost there! We are working on the potty training. This is the third time that Emilia has gone pee-pee in the big girl potty. She moves up to the Sophmore class in August, which is when they really push to potty train, but she is really showing signs of being ready. she sits on the potty at daycare now, but she won't go in it. Oh well, we will get there. At least she is interested in it and knows what to do with it.

new background...
...I wanted something really fun and summery for my new background, but I couldn't decide on anything, so this is what picked...lemon and lime slices...it reminds me of lemonade and margaritas....my fav summer drinks! Here's to summer!
almost 2
You know, as much as I gripe about staying up late or getting up in the middle of the night or breaking my rules or just being frustrated till no end, I have to say this is the most fun time with Emilia. It's the little things that make me laugh so hard....like, yesterday, she found a dog turd in the yard and was sooooo excited that she found it. She would not leave that turd, "Mommy, poop.....Mommy, poop." We were trying to clean up the porch a little and she had a Lysol wipe and she was fanning the turd, like it was steaming or something....it was almost petrified. She was so excited though, it was like buried treasure or something. She got so mad at me when I used her wipe to pick it up and throw it in the bushes....you would have thought that I just beheaded her favorite baby doll or something. Then, later that night she gave herself a bath for the first time...I wish that I had the video camera handy because she was adamant about washing her "butt." Speaking of the word "butt" I don't like her using it and I want to know where she learned this word....I am going to have to do some snooping! Anyway, back on topic, she got on one knee in the bath tub (proposal style) and reached around and wiped her "butt" for at least 5 minutes, then she thought that it was hilarious to put bubbles in her butt crack. Ohhhh, it was toooo funny! Too damn funny! And she is starting to make her little sentences now...she has been doing the two word sentences for a while now, but now we are making our way up to three words. She can put her shoes on by herself (mostly) now. She still may need a little help, but for the most part, she's got it down. She is showing big signs of being ready to potty train. They are working with her at daycare and we are also transitioning to the big girl cup, which she is using pretty well. All these changes.....my baby is growing up...she can wipe her butt, spot some poop, tell me when she pee-pee's, and almost dress herself.

ugh!!!!
I broke my NUMBER 1 RULE last night. I can't believe it....I let Emilia sleep with us last night. WHAT!?!?!!?!?!!? I know what you are thinking. This is what lack of good sleep will do to you. Here she is, just shy of 2 years old and has never slept in the bed with us, not one night, until last night. For some reason she has gotten this aversion to sleeping in her own bed and I swear, will stay up all night just to get her way. Night before last, we were up until 2:30....I know, I know, what in the world is a toddler doing up at 2:30 in the morning....that is my strong willed child that we are talking about.....talk about Mama being tired. I didn't have the fight in me last night. We put her to bed at the normal time and she screamed and cried for 45 minutes until she literally fell asleep standing up with her head on the side of the crib. She didn't throw up last night, but she tried. This is a new thing that she has learned through getting sick....Mama and daddy come running when she throws up....now she tries to make herself throw up. I have to say, it was funny to listen to, but it pissed me off too. She is no dummy, that's for sure! Anyway, needless to say the crib is being turned into the toddler bed TONIGHT! If I have to sit in there and rub her back for however long it takes to get her to go to sleep, then so be it, but come hell or high water, she will be sleeping in her bed again. Maybe she is back to having night terrors and she is scared of her room. I don't know, I am all out of guesses anymore. At this point, I am doing good to get through the day.

update of picture day....
They sucked! My child took sucky pictures, so we didn't order any. I feel so bad, I almost felt obligated to buy them since they were her first school pictures, but then the reality of wasting money set in and I didn't feel so bad....but we did pay an OUTRAGEOUS $20 for 1 class photo. WTH????? Oh well, I think those are a "must have," so it was worth it, I guess.
updates on the house
For those of you that I have not talked to in a while, I have been sucked into the house buying frenzy! I would not recommend this for the faint of heart, this is no fun! So far we have had our inspection and all our mortgage paperwork has been submitted and now we are waiting on our appraisal, which includes the FHA inspection and then we have to wait to do the survey and the WDO inspection....hello, can I get another inspection???? Ok, not really, but seriously, I am glad that FHA wants us to be in a good, sound house, but all these things are killing me. And then we are trying to price carpet, for the bedrooms, on top of all that. Uuggghhhh!
So, little story to let you know how stressed out I am.....here it is, the middle of April, and as of last week, I had already paid over $800 in daycare....hellooooooo, my daycare is only $656/mo. What in the hell was I thinking????? Oh well, at least we don't have to pay again until the end of the month. That was also with a late payment because I forgot to pay for one week in March. I just can't seem to get it together, at all! Oh well, it will be over soon.
Anyway, here is our house....
Later, peeps!

emilia's first scratch off
Emilia played her first scratch off game this past Friday. Daddy brought home 3 scratch off games and she picked her very own and she won! Out of the three that he brought home, hers was the only winner. She won $2 to go in her piggy bank! She had a blast scratching it too. of course, she wasn't very effective at scratching and her daddy had to help her, but she was such a big girl, trying to do it herself. Kudos to her and her first scratch off. My big girl!
Shhhhh, don't tell the government that we are letting out 21 month old child gamble! :)

soooo tired!
I thought sleep deprivation was for mothers of newborns and sick infants....no one warned me that this would happen all the way up into toddlerhood. I am almost to the point of not functioning....seriously. I require a lot of sleep, and I am not getting it!!!!!! Last night, she was up from 11-3, that means mommy was up from 11-3. And back up at 6:15. I think that I am going to have to leave early and get some sleep before I pick her up from daycare. That is assuming that she makes it through the day at daycare...something tells me that she might not. I will be so happy when she gets well and stays well.
On the bright side, we got a house...woohoo!
