I have been waiting for this day for a while. I knew it was coming, it was just a matter of time. Two nights ago....I went fishing in the bathtub....fishing for doody balls. This was only the second time that Emilia has pooped in the bathtub, the first being her very first bath. That was like a little poo rocket that shot from her nether regions and in a split second it was gone. That one was fine. This one was a little more adult like. Of course I wasn't bothered by it, but I forgot and left the washcloth, that I fished them out with, on the sink....Ricky says to me....what is on the wash cloth, it looks like shit....I followed with....well, honey, it is. He was a little grossed out by that.
The story goes like this: it was a normal bathtime, like every other day, except after the actual bath, during playtime, Emilia developed some pretty fowl gas. It got a little more regular, so that really should have been my first clue to take her out and put her on our new baby potty, but no, I let her play. I was amazed that she was stacking her duckies on the top of the baby bath bottle...what skill...then all of a sudden one hand goes on the wall, one hand grabs my shirt, and 2 grunts later out comes a doody ball, a nugget, if you will.....whew, okay it was just one....then, one more grunt and here comes 4 more. Sheesh! She felt MUCH better after that. She started to take a step back and it was like slo mo....nnnnnooooooooo, don't step on the doody ball........so I quickly fished them out with the wash cloth....just in time. Hopefully, no more fishing for me!

Are you telling me that I am going to have to scoop out Mary Day's feces from the tub one day? Crap! Pun intended.
I love it! Mo was reading it with me and she got the biggest kick out of it. Since Jake and John are so close in age, they used to take a bath together. That happened to them too, and I had the tub full of toys and bubbles, so I didn't find it until the bath was over. I had to drain the tub, and start over!
I do have to share this one, though. I had both boys naked and ready for their baths. They were 3 and 4. Don't ask me why, but I realized that they didn't know how to play leap frog. So, I showed them how. They were having a great time playing...naked... evidently one of them was having so much fun that dropped a little "frog" of their own! I still don't know which one did it, but it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen!
You should print her stories out for her. My kids laugh so hard when I tell them stories about themselves.
Hey - I just realized that my name is not on my comment - it's Gina. You probably figured that out :)
